# KiCad footprint attribution

The connector footprint files and their converted TSX geometry originate in the KiCad community libraries: USB3_A_Molex_48393-001, USB_C_Receptacle_Amphenol_12401548E4-2A, and SD_TE_2041021. The Coilcraft XxL4020 and CP_Elec_6.3x5.8 files are retained as land-pattern references.

Source collection: https://github.com/KiCad/kicad-footprints and the archived KiCad `.pretty` libraries. These library files retain CC-BY-SA 4.0 with the KiCad library exception. See LICENSE-KiCad.md.

Normalized copies change only legacy 3D-model `at` syntax to `offset`. The project's connector imports use the converted pad, drill, outline and courtyard geometry, with the unsupported pill `height` property removed and reference text replaced with the component's name. The authored custom QFN, Coilcraft and electrolytic footprint implementations require manufacturer review before fabrication.

The current USB sockets use Amphenol GSB311131HR and 12401610E4#2A. Their current authored footprints follow the manufacturer recommended PCB drawings. The earlier Molex/Amphenol footprint files remain as historical references/reproduction inputs and are not used for the current sockets. Current independently authored connector CAD is in design/connector-models.ts.
